Public Notice

The Houma-Thibodaux Metropolitan Planning Organization (HTMPO) invites public comments on the following draft plans:

  1. Draft Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan
  2. Draft Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Plan

Purpose: These plans outline strategies and measures to improve transportation safety, encourage active transportation, and achieve the goal of zero fatalities and serious injuries in the region by the year 2040.

Public Hearing: A public hearing will be held to gather feedback and comments on both draft plans. The details of the hearing are as follows:

Date: October 24, 2024
Time: 12:00 PM
Location: Terrebonne Parish North Branch Library, 4130 West Park Ave., Gray, LA 70359

How to Comment: Residents, stakeholders, and interested parties are encouraged to review the draft documents and provide their comments. The draft documents are available for review at http://www.htmpo.org and in hard copy at the South Central Planning & Development Commission office (5058 West Main Street, Houma).

Submission of Comments: Comments can be submitted in the following ways:

  1. Email: Send comments to josh@scpdc.org
  2. Mail: Address comments to HTMPO, PO Box 1870, Gray LA 70359
  3. In-Person: Provide comments during the public hearing on October 24, 2024

Deadline for Comments: all written comments must be received by October 17, 2024.
