South Central Planning & Development Commission is accepting resumes for a Construction & Demolition Foreman and Carpenter III.
- The main duty of the Foreman is to oversee the day-to-day onsite operations of specific projects, as well as provide direct supervision and mentor their work crew(s). The foreman will also be responsible for ensuring all safety requirements are met on and off of the job site, as well as perform regular safety meetings with work crew(s). The candidate must possess a valid Class “D” driver’s license, a clean driving record, as well as be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. The individual should possess a high school diploma with at least 10 years of experience in home construction, as well as knowledge of building codes and prior supervisory experience. Starting pay will be approximately $39.00 – $48.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
- The Carpenter III position involves skilled labor duties as well as the ability to follow safety protocols while operating and maintaining various tools and equipment. This position may be looked at to help mentor crew members. In addition to working in varying environments, they must also be physically capable of climbing, lifting 30lbs, and walking on uneven surfaces or terrain. The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, as well as be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. The individual should possess a high school diploma with at least 8 years’ experience in home construction. Starting pay will be approximately $31.35 – $40.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
These are both full-time, hourly positions with permanent status and fringe benefits. Benefits include health/dental/vision/life insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation & sick leave.
