This meeting is in accordance with Louisiana Watershed Initiative activities and is integral to providing a sustainable, institutional basis to increase continuity, improve flood resilience, and enable more effective flood prevention within our region.

South Central Planning & Development Commission is accepting resumes for a Construction & Demolition Foreman.  The main duty of the Foreman is to oversee the day-to-day onsite operations of specific projects, as well as provide direct supervision and mentor their work crew(s).  The foreman will also be responsible for ensuring all safety requirements are met on and off of the job site, as well as perform regular safety meetings with work crew(s). The candidate must possess a valid Class “D” driver’s license, a clean driving record, as well as be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. The individual should possess a high school diploma with at least 10 years of experience in home construction. The Foreman position is a full-time, hourly position with permanent status and fringe benefits.  Benefits include retirement, health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid   holidays, vacation & sick leave. Starting pay will be approximately $39.00 – $45.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.   SCPDC is an EOE/AAE.

South Central Planning & Development Commission is accepting resumes for multiple Construction & Demolition Carpenters.  The Carpenters’ position involves skilled labor duties as well as the ability to follow safety protocols while operating and maintaining various tools and equipment. In addition to working in varying environments, they must also be physically capable of climbing, lifting 30lbs, and walking on uneven surfaces or terrain. The candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, as well as be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. The individual should possess a high school diploma with experience in home construction. These are full-time, hourly positions with permanent status and fringe benefits.  Benefits include retirement, health/dental/vision/life insurance, paid holidays, vacation & sick leave. Starting pay will be approximately $21.00 – $40.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.   SCPDC is an EOE/AAE.
